Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology/Technician
The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) offers exceptional training programs in airframe mechanics and aircraft maintenance at the Bristol Technical Education Center extension campuses located in Hartford and Stratford. These are full day programs from 7:25 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
The 2-year aviation maintenance curriculum provides training that enables students to develop operative skills that meet the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration.
Upon completing the General, Airframe, and Power Plant curricula, the student is prepared to take the FAA examinations. After passing these tests, the student will be certified as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic.
