Our Program

CTECS School Meals Program prides itself on serving nutritious breakfasts and lunches to students in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Our School Meals team is eager to prepare and offer a varied selection of breakfast and lunch meals that are both healthy and well-balanced, providing students with the nutrition they need to succeed in the classroom.

All meals are planned in compliance with the standards established by the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Menus support, promote, and reinforce the USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans, encouraging increased consumption of nutrient-dense foods and beverages such as fresh fruits, colorful vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products, while limiting levels of saturated and trans fats, sodium, and added sugars.

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

CTECS implements a program available to schools participating in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). What does this mean for you and your children ?

All enrolled students of CTECS are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no cost to your household each day of the school year. Your children will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.

In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:

The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System announces its participation in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) for school year 2025-26. All students enrolled at the schools listed below may participate in the breakfast and lunch program at no charge. Household applications are not required to receive free meals, but alternate income forms may be distributed by the school to collect household income data for other programs that require this information. The CEP is part of the federally funded National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.

LINQ Titan

Introducing Titan! CTECS Nutrition and School Meals Unit is proud to announce LINQ Titan, a secured, web-based cafeteria management system.

  • LINQ Titan Application

    This new POS (point of sale) system will be utilized in all CTECS cafeterias to improve efficiency, optimize performance, and manage compliance, thus helping to make a bigger impact for our staff, students, and CTECS community.

LINQ Connect – Family Portal

LINQ Connect is a secure online portal that allows families to:

  • Make an online payment to their student’s meal account
  • Remotely monitor their student’s accounts
  • Set up automatic recurring payments
  • Set up low-balance email message alerts
  • View and purchase fees assigned to their student in the Online Store
  • Submit an online application for free and/or reduced meals
  • View online breakfast and lunch menus

The new LINQ Connect platform will provide a fresh look and new features to make it easier to deposit meal funds, pay balances, view menus and allergens, apply for educational benefits (AEB), and more.

  • If you are a new LINQ user, getting started is easy!

    1. Register
      Register at LINQ Connect registration portal by clicking the Register button near the upper right corner. Enter your name, email address, and a password of your choice. Then choose your language and time zone (GMT-06:00 Central Time US & Canada) and check the “I agree to the Terms of Use” button. Then click the Submit button.
    2. Verify Your Account
      Verify your account by clicking the email verification link sent to your email address. Then click the Back to LINQ Connect button.
    3. Sign In
      You should now be automatically signed in. If you aren’t automatically signed in, go to the LINQ Connect login portal and click the Login button near the upper right corner. Then enter your email address and the password you just created, and then click the Sign In button.

  • Download the LINQ Connect App via your mobile device. This mobile app is available for families to add money to meal accounts, check district menus, and set spending limits. The LINQ Connect App allows parents to:

    • Set up reminders and be alerted when your child’s account is running low
    • Check your child’s purchase history to make sure your child is getting the nutrition they need
    • Apply for Educational Benefits directly from your device
    • Download the LINQ Connect App using the Apple QR code
    • Download the LINQ Connect App using the Android QR code
