Advisory Board

CTECS Board

The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System has an advisory board consisting of eleven members as follows:

  • Two members with experience in manufacturing or a trade offered by CTECS, or who are alumni of the system
  • Two members who are executives of Connecticut-based employers and who shall be nominated by the Connecticut Employment and Training Commission
  • The Commissioners of Education, Economic and Community Development, and Labor, or their respective designees, shall serve as ex officio members of the board

Members of the board shall be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the General Assembly. The Governor appoints the Chairperson.

The Board’s two subcommittees support student success and workforce readiness by strengthening industry partnerships and expanding career pathways.

  • The Business & Industry Committee focuses on building collaborative relationships with Connecticut’s business community.
  • The Career Pathways Committee advances career exploration, postsecondary connections, and work-based learning opportunities for students.

Public Participation

To participate in public comment during the monthly board meeting email Alice.Pritchard@cttech.org 24 hours before the scheduled meeting. In the body of the email please indicate your name, affiliation, and a description of the topic you will be commenting on. All emails submitted to the Board for public participation will be shared with Board members and filed in the Official File of the meeting. Anonymous emails will not be posted or shared.
